Battersea Power Station area was selected as the specific plot. As a site is very interesting because it combines many remarkable characteristics such as its history, social aspects, the river and the railway.
There are already plans for the specific site to be redeveloped. This redevelopment is expected to give a new, better character to the area and eliminate the contrast from Chelsea area, which on the North of the river.

Because of the fact that the area of the Battersea Power Station is very big, a specific part of it has to be selected for the purpose of this module. A comparison between the current site and the future proposal has been order to decide which part of the whole plot it is better to use.
A discussion with my biddy was also necessary in order to understand the site. Some main points of this discussion are:
- Existing high rise buildings across the river.
- North: high cost housing - South: low cost housing.
- Around the station there are mainly light industrial uses.
- At the moment someone can get to the site only by car, but there are a lot of potentials to create connections for the area. It is right in the middle of more developed areas which definitely makes it very easy to connect.
- It can become an extention of Chelsea area.
- Power Station is located on a flat land. As a result the height of rail tracks is emphasized. (unsed land under them)
- Gas Holders on the West.
- Mixure of people - all ages - but the is no foot trafic because of the fact that it is industrial area (after the redevelopment this is expected to change)
